Gay weddings!?
Okay, my girlfriend and i are looking for a really authentic castle like setting for our wedding next year, it must have a smouldering atmosphere, ideally near the sea in the british isles,any ideas?
My (step)nephew got married in Newark castle in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Scotland which is 5 minutes from our house! All the guys were in kilts of course, I made up all the invites, orders of service etc. in an old ‘celtic’ style, the halls are all really ancient looking and the food served was traditional Scottish haggis etc.
With places like this, its what you make of them. Imagine the place all decked out in stunning flowers, a ceilidh band playing, no formalities etc. etc. everybody having a really great time.
Oh yeh….and you’re only 20 minutes from Glasgow so a few ‘hen’ nights out at ‘Bennets’ would be in order!
We’ve also got a really nice female registrar who did my pals wedding (first girls in Scotland) and some totally stunning places for photographs (believe it or not, my dads house is set into grounds used by many local couples)
