UK: if you are angered by loud fireworks in areas where asians live, will complaining 2 local religious leaders

make a difference to these disturbances of the peace….especially if this behaviour is linked to weddings etc?

i’m not talking here about a random one or two loud bangs here or there, but a sustained barrage of loud explosive fireworks..lasting from a few minutes to sometimes ten or fifteen minutes.

the trouble in my case is that i hear these explosions from a quarter of a mile or more away, and even if i had transport and could set off as soon as they began, i would probably have difficulty locating the perpetrators….and i’m not sure i would want to confront a group of people if there were more than one or two.

maybe i should just find out the shops selling the fireworks and target them so that they go out of business?

If I were you, I’d start with the local council – whichever department deals with complaints about bonfires, noisy neighbours, etc.

Keep a record of when the fireworks are going off and what direction they seem to be from your place.

Find out if other people have complained about the same thing.

Perhaps even write to the local paper and see if you get a reaction – maybe lots of people locally are pi**ed off about this but can’t do anything.

I don’t think you’ll have much luck with religious leaders, even if you can pin down which group are responsible.
